In my tank of Apple snail tank there are empty shells left from snails that have died. Should I leave them in the tank or take them out. Do the shells help provide calcium for the other snails? The shells are completely empty.

Use an empty Pringles can to store dry spaghetti, no need to worry about keeping the opened bag or box closed. An added plus is that the lid is see through plastic so no need to open it, as you can see how much you have left.
