Warning: Don't mix Mosquto fish w/fancy guppies

I had suspected that my recent 'feeder guppy' bulk purchase were actually mosquito fish. The more I researched, the more conclusive was my suspicion. But they've survived well with my young Dempseys and Bichirs - so I didn't care either way. Gives the predators something to chase - and this spring I'll just throw some of the surviving females in my ponds.

Need Help with Guppies
My neighbor has a tank with Guppies but he keeps telling they keep killing each other. Are these guys aggressive towards each other? He likes to keep no more than 5 in a 5g tank. Thanks
Added some guppies and platys to my 55 gallon.
Officially started the cycling process. I'm using start right to declorinate it (good..? bad..?). I've been doing 50/50 water changes and I still can't seem to get the amonia levels down. Should I up it to 75%? Will the water changes stress the fish
