Husky Holiday Hike and Malamute Jingle - Dec. 6th

We will be having our holiday hike at Deer Creek Canyon Park Open Space. We will start promptly at 12:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 6th.

It is advised that all dogs be leashed for our hiking event. This is a free event, however, we are asking that all attendees bring a new unwrapped toy that we will be donating to Toys ...for Tots and the United States Marine Corps on behalf of the Husky Huddle and Malamute Mingle - Colora

IL/WI Husky Hike
Adopt A Husky, a rescue group from Illinois, has a husky hike every year to raise money for abandoned huskies. I have attended the past two years, and my dogs and I had a blast! This years hike is on May 14th, in Wadsworth IL. More info about the hike

The park ranger told us that Husky hair makes a mess at the dog park and wanted us to pick it up. Really?! Husky hair is worse than people not picking up their dog's poop?? Besides, the birds pick up the Husky hair to make their nests! We're recycling!

So I was really disappointed with the weather.. it rained my entire drive down there and was sprinkling pretty much the entire time we were there, so there was an overcast and horrible lighting.. AKA not ideal for good photos, especially action shots. I
