Diesel Fuel Additives

I was asking my Ford dealer today about fuel additives and he was trying to sell me Summit Diesel Conditioner from Well-Worth. I was surprised since this was not a Motorcraft product. Has anyone heard of or used this product? What would your thought

Anybody got a strong opinion on using Sta-Bil Diesel additive? I'm in colorado so it will get cold and I have an aux tank that holds 30 gallons that probably should be treated so it wont go bad or gell if I'm not driving long drives..
